"The horses are galloping, and the spiritual springs are sparse; The same source water, the five-color diversion is different. " This is a poem about Huanglong scenery sung by the ancients. Huanglong Scenic Area is located in Songpan County, an important town in northwest Sichuan, at the foot of Xuebaoding Mountain, the main peak of Minshan Mountain. It is the source of Fujiang River with a total area of 360,000 mu and is a famous nature reserve. Because the terrain is like a dragon, it is also called "Tibetan Longshan".

According to legend, when Dayu brought water to Maozhou (now Maowen County), he was overturned by the black wind. A Huanglong stepped forward, saved Dayu's life, and made every effort to help Dayu succeed in water control. After that, Huanglong stayed in the dense forest under Xuebaoding Peak. Later generations remembered his achievements and built a temple for sacrifice, named Huanglong Temple. In ancient times, people along the Minjiang River dreamed of an old man with a yellow robe and a white beard, saying that there was going to be a flood in the Minjiang River and told him to move quickly. In a few days, there will be a flood. In order to repay the kindness, people searched along the river and saw a clay sculpture Taoist in the cave under Xuebaoding Peak, which is what they saw in their dreams. The locals passed it on as a training ground for real people in Huanglong. So they built a temple called Huanglong. This place is also named.

Huanglong Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty, and it is divided into three temples: the front, the middle and the back, which are 7 kilometers apart from each other. Qiansiyuan and "Yuwa Chongtian" greeted the snow all the way; Jinsha spreads thousands of layers of clear water and takes Huanglong. " Today, the first two temples have been abandoned. The back hall, Huanglong Zhenren Hall, is located at the top of Huanglong Temple ditch, with a height of15m and an area of 21000m2. It is a building with three-story double eaves and built on the mountain. Surprisingly, the front of the gate is "Huanglong Ancient Temple", on the right is "Flying Pavilion and Flowing Dan", and on the left is "the mountains are empty and the waters are blue". Carve a real statue in a temple. Huanglong Cave, also known as Three Buddha Cave and Foye Cavern, is 20 meters high and 600 meters wide, which is unfathomable. Stalactite from top to bottom, undercurrent from bottom to top. It is said that you can pass through the fish cave of Guanyinyan in Minjiang River hundreds of miles away.

Huanglong scenery is famous for its natural beauty. From the mouth of the ditch to the top, there are towering snow peaks, hidden caves, waterfalls hanging on the walls and lush trees. More than 3,000 pools, large and small, were intercepted by numerous terraces deposited with limestone solution, and under the sunlight, they became colorful pools, such as Jinjia and Jinsha in Longlin, known as "fairyland on earth" and "Yaochi on earth". Legend has it that the seven fairies in the sky admire the world and never return to it. The Jade Emperor was very angry, and sent heavenly soldiers to capture him and surround Xuebaoding. Tianma ran back and forth, stepping on a string of hoof prints, and after the snow melted, it became a colorful pool.

The Huanglong Temple Fair, where incense is burned in June, and the Qiang people sing and dance, is very lively, is also a great scenic spot here. Every year from June 12 to 15 of the lunar calendar, people of Tibetan, Qiang, Hui and Han nationalities in Qinghai, Gansu and hundreds of miles nearby come with food, set up tents and sing and dance all night. The scene is spectacular.
