What is the artistic conception of Wang Wei's miscellaneous poems?

You have just come from our hometown, and we must understand the world. When you pass by my window, are plum blossoms blooming?

Interpretation of poetry

This was originally a group of poems, three poems, and the second choice was in textbooks. The whole poem is plain and unpretentious, and expresses the homesickness of the wanderer concisely and vividly in the prosaic.

The beginning uses two "hometown", which seems to be repetitive, but in fact vividly expresses the joy of wandering away from home. The word "should know" is almost colloquial and slightly subjective, but it vividly shows my eager homesickness for knowing the scenery and human feelings in my hometown. In just ten words, the feelings, psychology and demeanor of "I" in a specific situation are vividly portrayed.

Why is "I" only attached to the cold plum in front of the window? People's homesickness is often associated with things that are closely related to them. It is conceivable that the cold plum in front of the window is closely related to my life in my hometown. The cold plum here is no longer a purely objective thing, it has been poetic and typified, and has become an image. It is through the image of "cold plum" that the poet visualizes abstract emotions.

The language of this poem is unpretentious, but it has infinite charm. It's really "ingenious."
