Zhang Dequan (homophonic) is the archetypal figure in the background story of Mohe ballroom. In 1987, his beloved wife was killed in the "May 6th" forest fire in Daxing 'anling, which shocked the whole country. For more than 30 years, the elderly have not remarried, and they had no children before their death.
The old man's wife loved dancing before her death, and they even often danced together with lights in the old warehouse. This habit has been preserved to this day.
Liu Shuang decided to record the story in the form of music. With the consent of the old man, he returned to Beijing to create the work Mohe Ballroom. Not only to commemorate this story from half a century ago, but also to dedicate to all the beautiful lives that have passed away because of misfortune. It is also dedicated to those who have love and give meaning to life after death.
At the same time, Liu Shuang also "took the liberty" to write a long letter in the form of the first person to tell the story. Words may not be as affectionate as this sorry story, but I still hope to make it last longer through lettering.
