I have a pearl that has been dusty for a long time.
At present, the dust is full and the Qian Shan River is broken.
This is a poem by Zen master Yu of Chailing who realized the way of wrestling. The Zen master's Zen style is very lively, but his disciple, Zen master Baiyun Shouduan, is dull in his studies and often recites the above poems, but he has never understood the Zen meaning. Later, because of an opportunity, master Baiyun followed Yang Qifang to learn Taoism, but he still couldn't be enlightened. One day, Master Fang Hui asked Master Baiyun, "It is said that your master realized Tao and wrote a poem when wrestling. Do you remember? " Baiyun Zen master quickly read the poem to him, and then the Zen master laughed and walked away without saying a word. This smile made the doubts of the Baiyun Buddhist monk laugh. The next day, I asked Fang Hui Buddhist monk, was he wrong? The Zen master replied, "Have you ever seen a clown play tricks in front of a temple?" They make all kinds of bluff actions just to make people laugh. The louder the audience laughs, the happier they are. How come? I just laughed at you gently and couldn't let go. Isn't it worse than those ugly people? "Baiyun Jackson woke up like a dream, so he put down his long-standing persistence and became enlightened. This poem tells us that learning Buddhism should be open, lively and not too rigid. If you are too rigid, you will lose the mysterious Zen of the universe. Zen is lively, proud, laughing, full of Zen scenery, and can respond to Zen with a smart heart. This poem even tells us not to be influenced by the outside world, but to hold our position and recognize our own value. The gain and loss of fame in the world can't affect us. He will scold us with a smile, just like a pearl that removes dust and shines on Wan Li. In this turbulent era, we must be able to calm ourselves down and consolidate ourselves. This is the way to save ourselves.
