The origin of pear orchard naming

The origin of the name of the pear garden: it was named after Xie Yuli's Pear.

Little knowledge:

1. Liyuan is located in Kaiping, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. 1926, Xie Weili, an overseas Chinese in Kaiping, returned to China. Knowing the traditional culture well, he personally designed this garden which combines Chinese and western culture. The name "Liyuan" is not only taken from his name, but also means Lide.

2. Xie Weili wrote The Analects of Confucius at the entrance, and after working hard overseas for many years, he understood that there is no virtue and no standing. "A gentleman's business is based on Tao."

3. Next to the four-character plaque, there is a long couplet, which reads: For the sake of home, I value Zhuang Xiu, advocate leisure travel, welcome Gigi Lai to travel together, and see the wisdom water all over the world. It's really enjoyable. Garden is the foundation of saving the country, promoting planting, increasing production and benefiting the people. Looking up at Lingshan spiritual practice, you can enjoy more beautiful scenery.

From the moment of writing, I followed the meaning of the plaque, indicating the importance of "standing", which is the way of self-cultivation and family planning rooted in the hearts of Chinese people. The significance of his return to his hometown to build a garden this time is that he hopes to enjoy it with his neighbors and enjoy his body and mind in the "wisdom water". But when he was in danger, why did he say that "the garden is the foundation of saving the country"? Here, the meaning of garden has been extended to the vigorous growth of trees on the one hand.

After Xie Weili returned to China, he helped his neighbors to "promote tree production" and did not forget to lead everyone to get rich together. On the other hand, he may have a wish of "peaches and plums are everywhere". Just behind this pair of couplets, another pair of couplets wrote clearly: "This is the spirit of * * *, and it is fun to raise orchids and make gardens; Tao is the same glory, planting bamboo and plum, and irrigating peaches and plums. " He also told the villagers that part of the garden will be used for education in the future, which will not only help production, but also open up people's wisdom.
