There are six main contents in The Book of Songs.

There are six categories in The Book of Songs: ancestor worship poems and Zhou epic poems, farming poems, Yan poems, resentment poems, corvee poems and love poems.

1, Ancestor Ode and Zhou Epic

Sacrificial activities prevailed in ancient times, and many ethnic groups produced sacrificial songs that praised gods and ancestors and prayed for disaster relief. Most of the sacrificial poems preserved in Ya San Fu mainly worship ancestors, or describe the history of the tribe's occurrence and development, or praise the virtues of the former princes, such as Gong Liu, Mian, Huang Yi and Daming, which are obviously different from the temple literature of later generations.
