The Hangzhou Asian Games was originally scheduled to be held from September 10 to 25, 2022, but due to the postponement of the new crown epidemic, the name and logo of the event remain unchanged. The Hangzhou Asian Games will have a total of 40 competition events, 61 sub-items, and an estimated 482 sub-items. All 45 member countries and regions of the Olympic Council of Asia will participate, and the event will be held in venues in six cities: Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing and Jinhua.

Mascots

The mascots of the Hangzhou Asian Games are three robots that carry profound heritage and full of vitality of the times. Their combination is called "Jiangnan Memory". The poems come from the famous line by Bai Juyi, a famous poet from the Tang Dynasty, "When you remember the south of the Yangtze River, the most memorable thing is Hangzhou." They integrate Hangzhou's history and humanity, natural ecology and innovative genes.

The three mascots are named "Cong Cong", "Chen Chen" and "Lian Lian" respectively, representing three close partners who serve as messengers to spread the Olympic spirit, peace and friendship to Asia. and the whole world is invited to "gather in Hangzhou Asian Games in 2022".

The shape of "Cong Cong" represents the world heritage site of Liangzhu Ancient City, and its name comes from the representative cultural relic unearthed from the ruins of Liangzhu Ancient City, the jade cong. The jade cong with exquisite patterns is an important symbol of Liangzhu culture and exudes eternal charm.

The shape of "Chen Chen" represents the world heritage Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and its name comes from the landmark Gongchen Bridge in the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Gongchen Bridge, which has a history of more than 400 years, carries the beautiful memories of generations.

The shape of "Lotus" represents the World Heritage West Lake, and its name comes from the endless blue lotus leaves in the West Lake. Lotus leaves are loved by people for their pure, noble and peaceful appearance.
