There are Spring Festival words, poems, couplets and compositions.

On New Year's Eve every year, people put couplets on doorframes and set off firecrackers and fireworks.

The history of pasting couplets can be traced back to thousands of years ago. At that time, people lived and worked in peace. But every year on New Year's Eve, a monster named Nian comes to harass people. It will eat everyone's chickens and sheep. So on that day every year, people close their doors and windows and dare not go out. Later, people thought the monster was afraid of red, light and sound, so people cut the red paper into a long strip the size of a door frame and stuck it on the door frame. Many lights were on that night, which made the light very strong. People also put bamboo in the fire, and the bamboo in the fire makes a crackling sound. In this way, nian was driven away. The next day, people exchanged gifts to congratulate each other. Later, people wrote red paper on the doorframes, thus forming couplets. Later, people invented gunpowder to replace the previous method of burning bamboo.

In fact, there are many interesting places in couplets! The calligraphy of Wang Xizhi, a calligrapher in Jin Dynasty, is very exquisite. Many people want to get Wang Xizhi's handwriting, so his couplets were taken away as soon as they were posted. Later, Wang Xizhi thought of a good idea. After he wrote a couplet, he cut it in half and half wrote:

Felicity never paired off.

When it rains, it pours/Misfortunes never come singly

Wang Xizhi had these posted, but no one came to pick them up. Wang Xizhi's wife was very angry, but Wang Xizhi said, "Don't worry, madam, we will read them tomorrow." Wait until the second day early in the morning, Wang Xizhi had the other half posted, which became a good couplet:

Happiness didn't double until today.

It never rains but it pours yesterday.

Composition of Spring Festival couplets 7

The new year is coming. I took time to do my homework a few days ago and am going back to my hometown-Qingfeng. My parents and I went to my grandmother's house for the New Year, and everyone was very happy.
