Wang Zhihuan was a famous poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Representative works include Heron Pavilion and Liangzhou Ci. He is bold and unrestrained, often fencing elegies, and his poems are mostly sung by musicians at that time. Wang Zhihuan moved from Bingzhou to Jiangzhou in his early years, and served as the main book of Hengshui in Jizhou. He resigned because of being slandered. Later, he returned to China to serve as Wen 'an county magistrate and died during his tenure.
