Distinguish and appreciate
This is a Yuefu poem, and Yuefu Poetry Collection is classified as "Zaqu". Since the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the creation of Yuefu poems by literati often has a characteristic: they always revolve around "ancient words" (Han Yuefu), or imitate them, or start from them (of course, some abandon them and cast their own big words). This method of finding "motif" from ancient poetry has formed a procedure. Although poets in the Southern Dynasties wrote Yuefu poems according to this formula, there was another tendency. They sometimes abandon the ancient poems of Yuefu in the Han Dynasty and trace them directly back to the songs of Chu to find the "motif". For example, Wang Rong in Nanqi and Chang Fei in Xiao Liang both wrote a poem "Thinking of Childe", the central theme of which was taken from "Nine Songs of Chu": "The wind is rustling, the wood is rustling, and the childe is worried. This is also the case with Xie Tiao's poems, whose "motif" comes from "The Songs of Chu Recruit Hermits": "Wang Sun swims without returning, and spring grass grows. In other words, the poet's creative inspiration comes from "Songs of the South", and what he wrote is completely real-life feelings. In the ancient "motif", there are vivid and realistic contents.
Spread, spread; Hong Ying, that is, safflower. In spring, the green grass is silky and lush, covering the earth and painting a green world; On all kinds of trees, red flowers are dazzling. The green atmosphere is in sharp contrast with the red dots and dyes, setting off a vibrant scene. I, a gentle and graceful girl, was heartbroken when I saw this scene, leaving my feelings behind. She couldn't help but feel sad and sad, and sighed sadly: "No matter whether you come back or not, you have a rest." It means: don't say that the person in your heart is not coming back. Even when he came back, the gorgeous flowers had already withered, the beautiful spring scenery had already passed away in vain, and my beautiful years had already passed quietly. Beauty can't last long. Here, the poet does not mainly write about how the girl eagerly waits for her lover and how impatient she is, but focuses on her treasure of safflower and her nostalgia for beautiful spring scenery, thus describing her thoughts and love for you and revealing her disappointment of "beauty is dead". In this way, the protagonist's mentality has sublimated from the general girl's nostalgia for spring, from the emotional pouring and venting to a rational height of cherishing spring and nostalgia for time, and a strong sense of time and life permeates it. In this way, from the description of the scene, to the expression of feelings, and then to the sublimation of reason, the three are integrated together like water. So this is a good poem full of life consciousness, with excellent scenery, emotion and reason.
Although the poem is short, its artistic style is quite distinctive, which reflects the trend of both refined and popular poetry creation at the time of Qi and Liang Dynasties. First of all, the motif from Chu Ci has obvious literati elegance and vulgarity, suggesting its relationship with literati literature; However, the poet expressed this ancient "motif" in the form of five words and four sentences of Yuefu folk songs in the Southern Dynasties, which quietly faded the original luxurious and elegant color, making it show the characteristics of clear thinking, tactfulness and swaying customs in language style. Secondly, the spring scenery in the poem evokes the feelings of spring, which is based on the scenery, blended with scenes, full of charm in short chapters and graceful charm. This is the true nature of Yuefu folk songs in the Southern Dynasties, which is "vulgar". However, it is quite clever in describing brushwork. The poet decorated the red flowers in the green atmosphere, skillfully contrasted the brushwork and deliberately rendered them, revealing the traces carefully created by the literati and showing elegance. Suit both refined and popular tastes and create a good structure. Besides, the rhyme of this poem is also worth mentioning. The poem is short and urgent with rhyme, which well shows the hero's eagerness to cherish spring and time, and presents an artistic style of shallow meaning, short rhyme and long affection.
