The drums of the defenders cut off people's communication, and a lonely goose was singing in autumn in the frontier.
The dew turns to frost tonight, and the moonlight at home is bright!
Brothers are scattered, and no one can ask about life and death.
Letters sent to Luoyang city are often not delivered, and wars often do not stop.
Translation:
Garrison the drums upstairs to break pedestrians, and the lonely geese sing in autumn night. Starting from tonight, I entered the Millennium solar term, and the moon in my hometown is still the brightest. Although there are brothers, they are all separated, and it is impossible to find out about them. Letters from home to Luoyang have never been delivered, and frequent wars have not stopped.

Poetry appreciation
This poem was written by Du Fu in Qin Zhou in the autumn of 759 in Gan Yuan, Tang Suzong. That year, Shi Siming killed An Qingxu and led the troops back to john young. In September, he led the troops to capture Luoyang and fight in Lu Yu. At that time, due to the famine in Guanzhong, Du Fu abandoned his official position and moved his family to the west and settled in Qin Zhou. Sister-in-law: People call themselves brothers. Du Fu lived to be a hundred years old and had four younger brothers named Ying, Guan, Feng and Zhan. Only Du Zhan was around when writing poems, and the rest were scattered in Henan and Shandong.
The whole poem is handwritten, but the levels are orderly. Among them, using the word "Yi" to carry out the whole poem can be described as "every sentence cannot be separated from Yi" (Qing Dynasty). The last four sentences are rich in connotation, such as the analysis of neighbor Yu Biyun: "Brothers are separated, and one is also; The younger brother is scattered, and the second is also; Scattered and homeless, three also; Life and death are inaudible, four also; If you want to find out the news, only send books, five also; Nai Shu is less than six years old.
