Lin Zexu's career is brilliant and bumpy. He has written many books, including Lin Wenzhong's Public Administration, which has been handed down from generation to generation. He is good at writing couplets, and he often sends them wherever he goes to express his feelings. This paper gives several examples to appreciate it.
Lin Zexu was very clever when he was a child. It is said that once Lin Zexu's father asked him to ride on his shoulders and take him to school. When the private school teacher saw it, he smiled and gave it a pair: "Take his father as a horse"; Lin Zexu immediately replied, "I hope my son will become a dragon." It is also said that when Lin Zexu was a child, he went to a friend's house with his father and hung a mirror in his friend's hall. Lin Zexu danced in front of the mirror, and the host teased him: "Pheasants dance in front of the mirror"; Lin Zexu immediately said to Tao, "Heaven cannot bind chickens." One year on the Lantern Festival, the teacher sent a pair of couplets to the students: "Light a few lamps to help Gankun"; Lin Zexu immediately made a couplet: "Playing a drum represents heaven and earth." Once the teacher took him to the river and saw many ducks floating in the water, saying, "Mother Duck has no shoes to wash her feet"; I don't want Lin Zexu to answer immediately: "Chickens don't comb buns." If the above story is legendary, it is an indisputable fact that Lin Zexu is good at recording his life and expressing his feelings with couplets.
"The sea is boundless; I am a mountain peak. "
It is said that this pair of couplets was recited by Lin Zexu after traveling to the top of Gushan with his seniors. This is a very creative couplet, combining reality with reality, which shows "the boundless sea" and "the imposing manner of the mountain" incisively and vividly, and is full of charm.
Lin Zexu is an honest official. He has a couplet in the hall of the government office, which is widely read. Jade lotus cloud:
There are hundreds of rivers and great tolerance;
The wall stands a thousand miles, and it is just without desire.
This pair of couplets has become his "way to be an official" and a criterion for doing a good job. It means: the sea contains the water of all rivers, because it has the tolerance to accommodate all rivers, so it can be boundless; And the will should be as tall and straight as a thousand cliffs. Where does his bearing come from? -"No desire is just". Selfless desire, born strong. If "one thing at present, think for yourself first", you will naturally shrink back!
Officials like Lin Zexu are rare not only in the corrupt officialdom in the late Qing Dynasty, but also in the long and long history of China. Lin Zexu has been an official for 40 years, and has traveled all over 14 province with 400,000 troops, ranking among the top officials of the imperial court. Why is he always honest? His secret is "nothing to want". "No desire" means to treat money and material desires correctly and avoid corruption and bribery. "No desire" means indifferent to fame and fortune, abandoning officials, running officials and bribing officials. "No desire" means no conscience, no fraud, no speculation, no framing of loyalty. "No desire is just", and power will not become a means to seek personal gain. "Once the power is mastered, the order will be executed." "If you are wide, you will change your face, and you will be even more arrogant." There will be no regrets and regrets of "having the right to use it for nothing, being empty and melancholy after expiration". "No desire" means no fear. No matter where the pressure comes from, you can stand up firmly. He also has a pair of couplets:
The country will live and die;
Will you avoid it because of misfortune?
This couplet shows his outlook on life and life and death. Those who are beneficial to the country can ignore life and death; Never pray for an official to avoid disaster. Lin Zexu was the Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi in 1840. In June, Britain launched a war of aggression. Because Guangzhou was well defended, the British attacked Dinghai in the north, and Chen Bing sold it. The Qing government panicked, dismissed and investigated, and exiled Xinjiang. When he was exiled to Xinjiang, he also wrote another couplet to express his spirit of "putting national affairs first". Its couplet cloud:
State affairs should be regarded as internal affairs;
Being able to do everything in your heart is Buddha's heart.
Lin Zexu revered Li Gang's spirit of resisting foreign enemies, built a shrine for him and inscribed couplets, which also reflected his spirit of "putting state affairs first" and serving the country and people. Cloud to which it is connected:
Advance and retreat into a state;
There are mountains and waters in the ancient town of Ling Ying.
1in the spring of 940, when the British army was actively preparing for the war of aggression against China and the war was on the verge, Lin Zexu trained intensively in Guangzhou and actively prepared for resistance. He personally went to the school field for a military parade and hung a calligraphy in the martial arts school. Li Anyun:
Team out of the suburbs, hope foot soldiers succeed, don't have to tidy up the Milky Way;
A partial teacher becomes an obstacle, seeing how bright and awesome Zhuhai smoke is.
This couplet is full of awe and integrity, inspiring officers and men to bravely resist foreign aggression. 184 1 May, Lin Zexu was ordered to leave Guangzhou. In June, I arrived at Zhenhai Military Camp in Zhejiang. When he passed Feilai Temple, he felt attached and expressed his sincere heart. Lian Yunwen:
The lonely boat turned to the canyon and dreamed in front of it;
Never fly to spring to learn this heart.
1842, the opium war failed. Lin Zexu was exiled to Yili, Xinjiang. During his exile, he still cared about the national economy and people's livelihood. When passing through Turpan, he specially inspected the local special water conservancy facilities-Karejing. Although he was in exile, he never forgot to reclaim land and build water conservancy projects in his heart. His love for the people touched the minority people in the border areas. At this time, he is 58 years old and dying, but he doesn't care about personal gains and losses. Did you avoid it because of misfortune and luck? "This is his masterpiece when he was in exile. He believes that all things that are beneficial to the country should be done hard, and we must never choose to avoid or incline based on personal fortune, life and death. During the period, he also wrote a couplet to encourage himself, ready to look for opportunities to contribute to the country and the nation, and never become dejected and despondent. He has a couplet that shows his positive mental state at that time. This joint article is:
Occasionally, the wind and rain surprised the flowers;
Get up again and wait for the moon.
It is his life's task not to forget to study and be proactive. During his return to his hometown of Fuzhou due to illness, in the small building where he slept, the topic was associated with the cloud:
Sitting on the first floor, I have to be idle because of illness and can't forgive myself;
Make friends for thousands of years, learn from the past to serve the present, and learn from the past to serve the present.
This couplet says, I am sitting in a building, and I am idle because of illness. God may forgive people like me! It is better to learn from the ancients thousands of years ago and make friends. Although I had the best time to study, as Shi Kuang of the State of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period said, walking by candlelight is probably a little bright. Self-mockery and self-encouragement.
He has Lao Tzu's couplets and Su Shi's poems, and he constantly emphasizes learning.
More and more knowledge is a loss for Tao;
If you are brave, you will become stupid.
Many of his couplets are philosophical, popular and profound. For example, the couplets written for my own guild hall are still hanging in the former residence of Wenzao Mountain in Fuzhou. Its couplet says:
The rain in the suburbs is full of clouds;
The sky in Taige is very clear.
His research, and:
Teachers and friends are willing to face it on their knees;
Children and grandchildren should bear the same books.
Haihe Yunlong is talented;
Breeze and dew are great ideas.
It is not easy to get rid of money;
Being too kind is selfish.
Calm down first and then be quiet;
Words must be feasible.
There are also some conjunctions in his poems, which can explain his thoughts and actions. For example:
Reading history has a brief history;
Prosecutors often write living books.
Impartiality;
Advocating practice rather than reputation.
