There was a "kerchief" in our country during the pre-Qin period. By the Eastern Han Dynasty, a type of "kerchief" evolved into a handkerchief. In 1959, a blue and white printed handkerchief was discovered in an Eastern Han Dynasty tomb excavated in Xinjiang. In the long narrative poem "The Peacock Flies Southeast" by the Han Dynasty Yuefu, there is a sentence: "A girl is silent, covering her mouth with a handkerchief and crying." The "handkerchief" here is actually a handkerchief for wiping tears.
