2. Yu Fengzhi (June 7, 1897 - March 20, 1990), courtesy name Xiangzhou, was the daughter of wealthy businessman Yu Wendou. She was born in 1897 and was the first wife of Marshal Zhang Xueliang. . Zhang Xueliang has always played a pivotal role in his rough life. At 12:30 midnight on March 17, 1990, he died of heart disease in an elegant mansion on the top of Hollywood Hill in Los Angeles, USA. He was 93 years old.
She was talented and knowledgeable since she was a child. She entered a private school at the age of five, wrote lyrics and essays at the age of seven, was admitted to the Fengtian Women's Normal School at the age of sixteen and eventually graduated with honors from the Fengtian Women's Normal School. She played the piano well and wrote poems. He has good handwriting, good poetry, and good painting. After marrying into the Zhang family, she even took the initiative to attend the Law Department of the South School of Northeastern University. Zhang Xueliang was born in an era of warlord warfare. He lost his mother when he was young. He was the favorite eldest son of the great warlord Zhang Zuolin. This romantic young man with the halo of his father embarked on a military career since he entered the Army Military Academy founded by his father: from the first time he led troops to fight, he was baptized by several wars and suffered the blow of his close friend Guo Songling who raised troops to rebel. He endured the family feud and national humiliation of his father being murdered by the Japanese; he eventually shouldered the responsibility of his family and country and grew into the leader of the three northeastern provinces. Zhang Xueliang lived a romantic and suave life, but fell in love with two strange women. He spent his life with his first wife Yu Fengzhi and his true love Zhao Si. He was addicted to drugs and eventually relied on foreign doctors for treatment. He had an innocent heart, implemented the "Northeast Rebellion" for the unification of China, and was absolutely obedient to Chiang Kai-shek; but because of this, he allowed the Japanese to occupy Shenyang during the September 18th Incident. Finally, at the age of thirty-six, he and General Yang Hucheng planned the Xi'an Incident, ended the civil war, and promoted cooperation between the Kuomintang and Kuomintang and unified resistance to Japan. However, he himself was under house arrest for half a century.
