One or two roosters crow in the rain,
The Banqiao on Zhuxi Village Road is slanted.
The woman and aunt call each other to bathe the silkworms,
The gardenia flowers in the atrium are idle.
Meaning: There are cockcrows from one or two houses in the rain, green bamboos grow on both sides of the creek, the country path crosses the creek, and the wooden bridge is crooked. The daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law in the village call each other to wash the silkworms. The gardenias in the courtyard are not appreciated because the farmers are busy working.
"Rain Passes Over the Mountain Village" is a seven-character quatrain written by Wang Jian, a poet of the Tang Dynasty.
