Is Dong Zhuo really vicious? An ancient book unearthed in Xinjiang, Scholar: The image has been subverted. what do you think?

Dong Zhuo was in chaos, and Cao Shouzhi did not follow the artifact. Lu Xiong

Speaking of Dong Zhuo, readers who have read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms are familiar with him. He is arrogant. Dong Zhuo is the villain who makes people feel scared and his back is cold. But is this really the case? An ancient book was unearthed in Xinjiang, and the image of Dong Zhuo described above seems to subvert our traditional cognition.

Take control of state affairs

In April of the sixth year of Zhong Ping (189), Liu Hong, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, died, and Liu You, the eldest son of the emperor, succeeded to the throne, that is, Emperor Shao of the Han Dynasty. In August, the court had an accident. First of all, the eunuch, a captain Jian Shuo, tried to kill the general blades, monopolized the power and succeeded Chen Liuwang and Liu Xie. Then, General He Jin joined Yuan Shaomou in punishing eunuchs and beheading Jian Shuo. Next, eunuchs Zhang Rang, Qu Mu and others fought back wildly and killed the blade in the palace.

Subsequently, Yuan Shao and others took this opportunity to lead the troops into the palace, close the palace door and kill all the eunuchs in the palace, killing more than 2,000 people. Soon, according to the previous imperial edict, Dong entered the capital with a great army and became the final winner of the palace fight accident.

Dong Zhuo first took control of the military power, and at the same time recognized Lu Bu, who was extremely powerful, as his adopted son. Secondly, Dong Zhuo tried his best to defend himself. In order to gain the support of the scribes, he used the world-famous Cai Yong as his chief of staff, and also tried to win over the Yuan Shao brothers. Third, Dong Zhuo deposed the little emperor Liu Bian, poisoned He Taihou, and made Wang Liuxie emperor, that is, Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty.

Dong Zhuo deposed Shaodi and tried to coerce He Taihou into giving up the power to control the country. Two days after deposing Shaodi, He Taihou was driven out of the palace and killed, and Dong Zhuo completely mastered the power of the imperial court. After Dong Zhuo came to power, he was even more unscrupulous. He vigorously mobilized officials, placed his confidants in important positions in the DPRK, and praised himself.

Dong Zhuo was originally an ordinary post, and later he was appointed as Qiu He, a former general. Then he added a festival and gave him an axe and a samurai. In the end, he was named Hou, and the ruling and opposition parties were in power, bossing around, covering the sky with one hand, holding hands up and down and saying nothing. No one dared to provoke Dong Zhuo by relying on the emperor to make the princes, which made him taste the sweetness and wonders of wielding power.

Anecdotal anecdote

Apart from a series of events in which Dong Zhuo came to power, the most fascinating anecdote is his love story with Deusim. In Romance of the Three Kingdoms and film and television dramas, Dong Zhuo has always been portrayed as an image of being afraid of death, obsessed with power, loving beauty and lust.

After Sun Jian's death, Dong Zhuo thought he was invincible. Not only did he call himself a "loving father", he used the son of heaven to honor his guests, but he also built palaces and chose beautiful women, which made him more cruel and autocratic. At that time, hundreds of people were recruited from the north, and Dong Zhuo ordered them to be brought before officials. The means were extremely cruel, which scared the ministers to shame, but no one dared to oppose Dong Zhuo.

One day, Dong Zhuo invited hundreds of officials to drink and have fun. During the dinner, Dong Zhuo's adopted son Lu Bu said that Zhang Wen intended to rebel. Dong Zhuo immediately ordered Zhang Wen to be beheaded on the spot, scaring everyone out of their wits, and so did Stuart Wangyun. When Stuart Wang Yun returned to the mansion and thought of Dong Zhuo's behavior, he was restless and couldn't sleep until the dead of night. Walking in the back garden with crutches, he was crying for the Han Dynasty when he suddenly heard a woman lamenting by the Peony Pavilion.

Yun walked over and found that it was the story of Dexin, a geisha in a mansion, and sighed here. Although Diusim's story is a geisha of Wang Yunfu's family, she has been trained, taught manners and learned piano, chess, calligraphy and painting since she was a child. She was well-proportioned and in her prime of life. Wang Yun had a brainwave and used the story of Diusim's beauty to come up with the idea of alienating Dong Zhuo and his son.

Wang Yun immediately arranged for Dong Zhuo to meet the story of Diusim and promised to betroth her to Lu Bu. When Dong Zhuo first saw the story of Diusim, he was surprised by nature. He asked her about the geometry of Nianfang, and he admired this woman who looked like a fairy. The story of young, beautiful and talented Diusim quickly made Dong Zhuo fall at her feet, and Wang Yun conveniently gave Dong Zhuo the story of Diusim.

When Lu Bu learned the story of Diusim, Wang Yun put all the blame on Dong Zhuo, shaped Dong Zhuo into an extremely lecherous bully and stole his daughter. Lu Bu was immediately angry and alienated from his adoptive father, but once he went to Dong Zhuo's house to find the story of Diusim, and Dong Zhuo beat him up. Dong Zhuo was furious and chased Lu Bu ... In the end, Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu turned against each other, and Lu Bu and Wang Yun designed and killed Dong Zhuo.

Because of Wang Yun's lewd tricks, Dong Zhuo lost a general of Lu Bu, not only turned against him, but also gained an enemy. In the reader's view, they all scoff and are extremely disgusted with Dong Zhuo.

Subverting cognition

But in 1924, archaeologists discovered an ancient tomb in Xinjiang during the Wei and Jin Dynasties. In this ancient tomb, the earliest annotated version of the Three Kingdoms was unearthed so far.

There is Dong Zhuo's record in the manuscript, which probably means that Hu, Qiang and others often violated the Han Dynasty, burning and looting. Fortunately, Dong Zhuo led his troops to crusade, repeatedly made meritorious military service, and destroyed the wars of violence and peace for more than a hundred times.

These words are somewhat different from those recorded in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and History of the Three Kingdoms. The above words are moving and subvert our traditional cognition of Dong Zhuo.

He once shed blood and tears for the big fellow, and Dong Zhuo's record in the northwest is even more outstanding, which can not be ignored. In particular, the phrase "Hu Qiang has been through many battles before and after" has shaped Dong Zhuo into a general image of autumn soldiers on the battlefield. His many expeditions have made great contributions to great men, and 100 wars have also demonstrated Dong Zhuo's powerful military commander's strength, not just a villain who relies on Lu Bu and is afraid of death.

This article also allows more people to interpret Dong Zhuo's image from an objective perspective. Since ancient times, no one has only one side. Perhaps Dong Zhuo is not the totally useless negative image in the book. Especially according to the records in the book, Dong Zhuo is definitely not a vicious person. He could have risen to the top through brilliant achievements.

There are also many people who study it. At that time, blades adopted Yuan Shao's suggestion and called Dong Zhuo to Beijing. Perhaps Dong Zhuo was a brave military commander before he entered Beijing. Only after he entered Beijing, he tasted the sweetness of power and was blinded by power, so he made an absolute monarch and became an immortal villain.

The unearthing of the manuscript of the History of the Three Kingdoms made future generations know a brand-new Dong Zhuo. Dong Zhuo was quiet when he was fighting in the battlefield, but his desire for power was out of control after he entered Beijing. But it is undeniable that he also made great contributions to the Eastern Han Dynasty.

The expansion of power turned Dong Zhuo into a vicious person. The demise of the Eastern Han Dynasty was not Dong Zhuo's fault, and the imperial court itself had great problems. This situation gave Dong Zhuo a chance to be violent and made him cruel, while Dong Zhuo, who gained power, acted recklessly, aggravated the bad situation of the Eastern Han Dynasty and pushed him to extinction.

In a word, commenting on history should be critical and objective, and people like Dong Zhuo should be viewed comprehensively. If the unearthed records are true, then Dong Zhuo can be regarded as a lean generation and made an indelible contribution to the Han Dynasty. It's a pity that he lost his virginity and did countless cruel things.
