Du Ying bark is dark brown, smooth, with reddish brown branchlets, dense crown, nearly conical shape and dense branches. Its leaves are leathery and needle-shaped, which are the same plant as Bauhinia in Du Ying, China. The leaves are clustered at the top of branchlets, narrowly oval or oval. Du Ying has thick leaves. From autumn to early spring, some leaves turn crimson, red and green, which are bright and pleasing to the eye. Du Yingyi planted in clusters, groups or opposite in the garden green space, or planted on the edge of lawn or as the background of flowers and trees. Because of its strong resistance to sulfur dioxide, it is also suitable for greening trees in factory mining areas.
