The main economy of the ancient town of Jingangbei
In order to survive, some farmers went to Jinyun Mountain to transport coal and build houses in Jingangbei. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, the Diamond Monument became increasingly prosperous, with hundreds of rice shops, oil mills, restaurants, teahouses, inns and blacksmiths all over the country. The coal transport team also formed mule gangs, boat gangs, caravan gangs and manpower gangs.
Ship owners, landlords, coal merchants and Lifu built a simple and applicable old house with stone walls, earth walls and bamboo walls on the first floor and the first floor on both sides of Jingangbeixi River, and built it by the mountain, which has a unique Bayu style. Paved with bluestone slabs, it is a bluestone street with a width of 2 meters and a length of over 500 meters. The blue tile houses on both sides extend with the winding mountain. By the time of the Republic of China, several large residential buildings such as Yaojiayuan, Xiongjiayuan and Zhengjiayuan had been formed.
