Translation of the poem "The Wild Goose Falls to Victory"

When the moon sets at an oblique angle, build a dome-shaped tent on the mountain. Lonely guests can only dream of going home, but it is still far away. The geese have flown to the south (the author lives in the north, and geese should fly to the south), but the grass is still covered with snow. People are old, but the elms are yellow, and they can only listen to the creaking sound every night. There are several plots of land to the south from the post station, and there are sandstorms and clouds to the north. The spring clothes sent by my wife have been given away for nothing, because there are no flowers (buds) in the border town in May.

Interpretation: The poet was demoted to Ningguta because of the imperial examination case. This poem shows his loneliness and helplessness in a foreign land, and also expresses his concern for his parents and wife.
