Brief Introduction of Hong Men Reservoir

Hong Men Reservoir, also known as Zuixian Lake, is the third largest reservoir in Jiangxi Province. The reservoir area is located 75 kilometers southeast of Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Located in Lichuan and Cheng Nan counties, with an area of more than 40 square kilometers, the reservoir has a total storage capacity of 654.38+0.2 billion cubic meters and open waters. There are more than 65.438+0000 islands in the lake, with nearly 10,000 mu of Danxia landform, lush trees and beautiful scenery. The Lake District was once the seat of Nancheng County in the Western Han Dynasty, and "Zuixianyan" is the main scenic spot in this area. According to legend, there were immortals drinking here in ancient times, hence the name. Nearby is the tomb of Wang Yifan in Ming Dynasty and the birthplace of Hong Men Gang, which is listed as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit.
