Farewell to the viceroy and go to Shu for his post.

Don Wang Bo

Across the wall of Sanqin, across a layer of fog, across a river.

We said goodbye sadly, and our two officials went in opposite directions.

After all, the world is just a small place.

If you don't do anything wrong, the child will get wet with towels.

This is a farewell poem written by Wang Bo, a poet in the early Tang Dynasty, to his friends. Strong and positive style, deep feelings. It expresses the poet's encouragement and blessing to his friends, and shows the poet's inner strength and confidence. There is nothing to be afraid of.

Through this wall around the three Qin areas, through a mist that unites the five rivers, with concrete objects such as towers and ferries, under the dual effects of weather and mind, the vision is expanded, as if watching one by one, creating a vicissitudes of life and sadness atmosphere, which has both a heavy sense of history and a sense of distance from time and space transformation. Therefore, they are full of energy, and the word "hope" naturally reveals a sad parting scene, implying a low mood.

Take a sentence, tell your feelings directly, point out their actual experience, a departure, a business trip, suggesting that you can't help yourself, and the inevitable feelings are included. In other words, the distance between time and space is closer than the heart, and the intimacy is prominent. At this time, the mood is high and heroic. The combination of sentences is encouragement and exhortation, straightforward and neat, and the language is not polished and sincere.

His good friend's surname is Du, and his official name is Shaofu. Tang people used to call a person, such as Du Fu, by his surname and official position, and called him "Du Shiyi". Du Shaofu will go to work in Zhou Shu. Zhou Shu in the early Tang Dynasty was in Chongzhou, Sichuan today, to the west of Chengdu, more than 1000 kilometers away from Chang 'an at that time. Let's play a little imagination with poetry-be an official in Zhou Shu and stay away from Chang 'an. It may be that my career was frustrated, I was not taken seriously, and I was sent to a remote place. I was very lost and discouraged. Because of this trip, I don't know when I can return to Chang 'an, and I'm sad and don't know where the future is, but I can still be happy. Maybe the traffic was inconvenient at that time, and it was still a long way to enter the wasteland. It will be difficult to walk. Who knows what moths you will encounter? It is work, not travel, and the mood is naturally different; Compared with Chang 'an, Zhou Shu lags far behind Chang 'an in terms of conditions, and its food, clothing, housing and transportation are far behind Chang 'an, just like being transferred to the mountainous area of Tibet in Beijing today. Think about it, how many people will go there willingly if such a thing happens today? This also understood Du Shaofu's inner loss, frustration and confusion at that time.

My judgment is that when Wang Bo wrote this poem for Du Shaofu, there must be such a negative and depressed emotional background in it. Otherwise, he would not give such direct and powerful encouragement in his poems. You see, what Wang Bo said in the poem-don't be afraid to go far away, don't be afraid to go to a strange place alone, don't be afraid, let's be men, at least between you and me, I always understand that you support you. As long as our hearts are the same, we all want to work hard and make a career. Even though we are far apart, we are still United in spirit. The ends of the earth are separated by a sea, which objectively strengthens the distance of space, while the opposite of distance is proximity and heart, which subjectively highlights friendship and unity. As your friend, I will always stand by and support you.

Wang Bo went on to say, don't be sad, don't shed tears, and don't feel how difficult and troublesome it is to go to Zhoushu. This is a hopeless thing. Mentality is very important, and the fate of life is also wonderful. Nothing is absolute. Let's all be positive, confident and work hard. Don't be afraid of anything. Good people have ambitions everywhere, and there are places where we can display our ambitions. Come on, young man.

I think this friendship will certainly give Du Shaofu great comfort and encouragement, and this energetic and confident attitude towards life is equally meaningful today.

All good things must come to an end. For work reasons, it is common for three or five friends to get together less and leave more. A friend of mine had to leave the city where he struggled for five years because he wanted to go back to his hometown to work, complete his marriage and have children. This city has his fond memories, his ex who had to break up, and his emotional sustenance. Now he has to leave. The night before departure, everyone got together and ate and drank. He was full of melancholy and disappointment, and he left tears when he spoke, because he was forced by his parents. When he said this, his voice choked, his lips trembled, his hands rested on his forehead, his eyes closed, and he didn't look up for a long time.

I don't think persuasion, comfort and encouragement at that time would have much effect. At that time, people's emotions prevailed and would not be treated rationally. The more I talk, the sadder I get. I have to go. Therefore, the way between men is probably nothing more than drinking dry wine and then filling it, and drinking him to get drunk. It will be more useful to calm down when he slows down. Reasoning, using words will be more calm and rational, and can be repeated. Sending him a WeChat text will make him digest a lot of emotions.

In high school, I sent a friend to Qingdao to attend a technical school. At the age of sixteen, she set foot on the train alone and traveled far away. I had nothing to send, so I wrote a long letter and rushed to the railway station to give it to her. Writing letters was still very popular at that time. In my letter, I wrote about our fond memories of studying in junior high school, the barbecue and Guilin rice noodles we ate together, and where we will go to play when we grow up. I wrote a lot and told her that it was no big deal not to go to high school. Many people who have made a fortune in business have only attended primary school. Later, after graduating from college, I once saw her message in my QQ space, saying that she still had the letter, and many words in it made her feel very moved. I think, the power or touch of words can last for a long time, because it can be read and watched repeatedly, and it is relatively calm, because it has been polished by thought, and it has said parts and hidden parts, which people who need to read can understand, and many things can be connected in series, full of emotional hints and meanings.

Wang Bo wrote this poem to Du Shaofu and put everything he should say into it. Imagine that Du Shaofu is sitting on a horse and cart, and the wheels are turning. He bumped and trembled, looking at the handwriting condensed with ink, one hundred miles, two hundred miles, five hundred miles, and mountains and rivers. Every word in that poem seems to be Wang Bo's eyes and air. Teenagers are fearless of time, heroic and personable. However, China holds our friendship and heaven is still our neighbor. Why do you wander at the fork in the road? His children are stained with towels. Brother! A good man, ambitious and brave.
