Deyang Tidal Fan has a history of 120 years. According to the "Deyang County Chronicle": During the Guangxu period, Li Baocheng of Deyang improved the Chaozhou fan from Guangdong and made Deyang Chaozhou fan. ?It became famous after it was presented to Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu and was greatly appreciated. The production process of tide fans is complex and is divided into three models: large, medium and small. The large size is about 22 cm wide and has about 168 bamboo filaments; the medium size is about 19 cm wide and has about 156 bamboo filaments; the small size is about 16 cm wide. The number of bamboo filaments is approximately 144.
The bamboo silk fan in Zigong City, Sichuan Province originated from the Gong family, so it is commonly known as "Gong Fan". It was founded in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. In 1886, it won the first prize at the Baochuan Bureau Saibao Competition founded by Zhou Xiaohuai of Quanye Dao in Sichuan and was selected to be sent to the palace. Emperor Guangxu named it "Gong Fan". It has a history of more than 100 years. ?Gong fan? Selects one-year-old green Yinshan yellow bamboo as raw material, and uses special tools to process the bamboo silk as thin as hair. The woven fan surface is transparent and translucent, as thin as cicada wings. It is then threaded according to the famous calligraphy and painting lines, and is carefully woven. The hanging, inlaid, broken and ingenious structure reproduces the charm of the original work, and the fan surface actually looks like silk. ?Gong Fan? has been passed down to the fifth generation since its creation.
