Lingyin Temple

Dynasty: Tang Dynasty

Author: Song

Original text:

The vulture ridge is gloomy, and the Dragon Palace is lonely.

Look at the sea, the door is facing the tide in Zhejiang.

In the middle of the month, laurel trees fall and fragrant clouds float outside.

If you climb the tower, you will find that spring is far away.

Frost is thin, flowers are hairy, and ice leaves are not withered.

The age of rewelding is still different, and the search is right.

Stay on Tiantai Road and look at the extra stone bridge.

Chronicle of Tang Poetry said: "When I asked you to demote, I went to Jiangnan and visited Lingyin Temple. jathyapple was very bright. The promenade sang' Vulture Ridge is gloomy, Dragon Palace is lonely' ... "Song was demoted twice, the first time was in the first year of Shenlong (705). "Old Tang Book" said: "Born in nature, died in the migration place." "New Tang Book" said: "Give death to Guilin". In short, I didn't survive. The Book of the New Tang Dynasty records his long history of moving to Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang) in the middle and lower reaches of Jinglong. "I am quite self-reliant, traveling around Tunxi Mountain, buying wine to make poems, spreading the capital, and everyone is ironic." This is the time when the poem Lingyin Temple was written.

Lingyin: Mountain name. In the west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, it is also called Wulin, Lingyuan and Xianju. Lingyin Temple was built in Lingyin Mountain during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. According to legend, in the first year of Jin Xianhe (326), an Indian monk Huili came here and exclaimed: "I don't know when this small ridge of jiusan in Tianzhu (ancient India) came, and Frodo was hidden by the gods." Because of the mountain, the temple is named Lingyin, which means that Lingshan is hidden here.

The first couplet describes the geographical location and general situation of Lingyin Temple: "Jiuling is lush and the Dragon Palace is lonely", which means that the quiet temple is located at the foot of Feilaifeng Mountain, which is more solemn. Jiuling: Indian spiritual jiusan, here refers to the northern peak of Lingyin Mountain, namely Feilai Peak. Depression: lush, lush. Hey hey: Jun Gao; Towering into the sky. Dragon Palace: According to Lingyin Temple, it is said that the Dragon King once asked the Buddha to interpret the scriptures, so the place where the Buddha is located is called Dragon Palace. "Lock"

The lines reveal the tranquility, emptiness and eternity of Buddhism. The two allusions of "Nine Mausoleums" and "Dragon Palace" are natural and full of myth, which makes people think. Generally speaking, the first link of the arrangement law is not uniform, but it is natural here, giving readers a neat and harmonious aesthetic feeling.

In the second couplet, "The building looks at the sea, and the door faces the tide in Zhejiang", and the last sentence is looking forward to the sunrise on the sea, the glow is everywhere, and the clouds are all over the sky. The next sentence is a close-up view, the river is surging and white waves are surging. Looking at the beautiful place when entering the scenic spot, opening people's hearts, strengthening people's lofty sentiments and making people feel happy, these two sentences have become beautiful sentences for generations with neat confrontation and spectacular scenery. The words here are not unfamiliar and the words are not rich, but they can give people a special aesthetic feeling.

The third link, "Guizi falls in the middle of the moon, and the fragrance is floating outside the clouds", Guizi: the seed of osmanthus tree. Osmanthus fragrans blooms without fruit. Day two tigers gave birth to a child. Legend has it that every autumn in Lingyin Temple and Tianzhu Temple, there are often bean-like particles falling from the sky, called cassia seed. Tianxiang: the fragrance of offering sacrifices to the gods. In the northern Zhou Dynasty, Yuxin's poem "Floating Picture of Fenghe Tongtai Temple" said: "Tianxiang returns to the temple, and the immortal enters the righteous life." Guizi scattered in the moon palace, making a lot of noise; The cigarettes in the Dragon Palace curled up into the sky, interwoven up and down into a quiet and ethereal realm. This couplet poem expresses the pleasant characteristics of Lingyin Temple with myths and legends.
