Meng Haoran's "Spring Dawn" has long been widely circulated, and it is well known to women and children. Many people interpret the theme of this poem as "cherishing spring", but it is not entirely true. Recently, I have carefully read many pastoral poems of Meng Haoran, and have a new understanding of the poem "Spring Dawn".
"In the spring morning, I woke up easily, and birds were singing everywhere. But now I remember that night, that storm, and I want to know how many flowers were broken. " Many people think that the focus of the poem lies in the last two sentences, that is, the main idea of the poem is to lament that spring is fleeting. However, combined with the poet's other poems, the poet's living conditions and historical background at that time, there is another taste in it. Although the first sentence "I woke up briskly this morning in spring" is too popular and makes people feel powerless, in fact, the key sentence is the first sentence, which has a unique sigh and experience for the poet in spring mood.
This sentence shows those who are sleepy in spring, that is, the carefree world of "elegant people" At that time, intellectuals were mostly officials in the DPRK, so they had to go to court early and could not sleep at all. And those hermits who despise the fame and fortune that the secular is keen on can also "sleep without knowing" in spring. They stand outside the splendor, detached from the secular, and integrated into the elegance and tranquility of nature, which is enviable. Meng Haoran's good friend Wang Wei's sixth poem "Pastoral Music" is very similar to this poem: "Peach blossoms are full of rain, willow green is full of spring smoke. The flowers fell and the children didn't sweep, and the guests in Ti Ying Mountain were still sleeping. " Sleep soundly in the spring morning after the rain, peach blossoms outside the window contain rain, and English is colorful; Indoor elegant people are carefree and intoxicated by the beautiful scenery of Yangchun-this is a typical China flavor, an elegant artistic conception and a carefree world for hermits. This carefree world is similar to what Tao Qian said, "Picking chrysanthemums under the hedge and seeing Nanshan leisurely".
Meng Haoran was an idyllic poet and a recluse poet. He admired Tao Qian in the Six Dynasties and wrote many recluse poems such as Chunxiao. Among them, Li's admiration for Sleeping Garden is even more obvious: "I love the interest of Taoism, and gardens have no vulgar feelings. Spring thunder is full of flowers, and cold food is bright. " However, in history, Meng Haoran did not take the initiative to live in seclusion, but wandered around the rivers and lakes because he failed to be admitted to the official position and lived in Lumen Mountain. Legend has it that he traveled to Beijing at the age of forty and became good friends with Wang Wei and Zhang Jiuling. On one occasion, Wang Wei invited him into the palace to talk about poetry. He didn't want Tang Xuanzong to come suddenly. Wang Wei hid Meng Haoran under the bed and reported it to Tang Xuanzong. Xuanzong summoned Meng Haoran and ordered him to write a poem. Haoran wrote a poem entitled "Going to the South Mountain at the End of the Year" and "I slipped and was exiled by the Ming monarch". Xuanzong was very unhappy: "You didn't want to be an official, but I didn't abandon you. Why do you accuse me? " As a result, Haoran lost the last opportunity to ask for an official. Meng Haoran's heart is still full of anguish and chagrin for his failure to display his talents and get an official position. In addition to the poem "Going to Nanshan at the end of the year", the last four sentences in Lin Dongting are "It is better to be idle than to cross without a boat." Just as I am sitting here watching a fisherman casting, I feel like a squid. " Show it more incisively and vividly. Therefore, constrained by the feudal imperial system and imperial examination system at that time, it was also a helpless move for the poet Jing Ya to live in seclusion in the mountains and seek his soul outside the secular world.
