Lamb skin at large, fox skin in court.
Am I not like you? Worry about it.
Lamb skin flies, fox skin is in the hall.
Am I not like you? I feel sad in my heart.
Lamb fur is like frost, and there is obsidian at sunrise.
Am I not like you? The center is mourning.
Lamb Qiu is selected from The Book of Songs, National Style and Class Style. The first chapter of the poem, "The shepherd is at large, and the fox is at court", seems to describe the monarch's clothes, but the lines are full of emotion.
Translation:
Wear a lambskin coat to amuse yourself, and wear a fox fur to sit at the court. Why don't you let people worry about you all day? Go for a walk in a sheepskin coat and go to the court in a fox fur. Why don't you let people worry about you? It's always sad to think about the country. The color of the lambskin coat is like grease and the sun is shining. Why don't you let people worry about you? I can't forget all my troubles.
