Introduction to Dan River
Dan River is a tributary of Qinhe River, a tributary of the north bank of the Yellow River, which was called Yuan Zeshui, Qinshui and Freshwater in ancient times. Mainly produced in Danzhuling, Zhaozhuang, Gaoping City, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It flows through the urban areas and suburbs of Jincheng City (Zezhou County), Jiaozuo City and Qinyang City in Henan Province. Dan River is the second largest river in Jincheng, and is known as the "mother river" of Jincheng and Jiaozuo people. The main tributaries of Dan River are Bagong River, Tashui River, Baishui River and Shipen River. The Danhe River is rich in resources, and the Beiwangzhuang Interception Water Conservancy Project was built along the river. Reservoirs such as Renzhuang, Jiaohe and Qingtianhe have been built on the main stream, providing abundant water sources for agricultural production and life. The border of Danhe River with Shanxi and Henan is the edge of Taihang Mountain, mostly a canyon. There are tourist areas in Henan, such as Qingtian River and Danhe Canyon in Qinyang.
