Li Hongzhang, Zi Shaoquan, 1823, from Hefei. His highest official title is Zhili Governor (now Hebei Province) and Minister of Beiyang. He has held an important position for forty years and has traveled all over East Asia and Western Europe. He was in charge of the internal affairs and diplomacy of the Qing Dynasty. He founded the Huai Army and launched the Westernization Movement. He is called "the first person who advocated the open policy in China". His former residence is located in the middle section of Huaihe Road in Hefei. The whole building looks spectacular with carved beams and rafters. It is the largest and best preserved former residence of a distinguished guest in Hefei. It is a key cultural relic protection unit of Anhui provincial government.

Sanhe town is located on Hefei-Huangshan-Jiuhuashan Golden Tourism Line, 40 kilometers away from Hefei City. Its present name comes from the confluence of three rivers-Fengle River, Hangbu River and Xiaonan River. The town has a history of more than 2,500 years, with an area of 4.7 1km2 and a permanent population of 30,000.
