Li wan's judgment

Li Wan's final judgment is that of twelve women in Jinling in A Dream of Red Mansions. This judgment is an introduction to Li Wan's life experience, personality and fate.

Original: Who is like an orchid after the spring breeze of peaches and plums bears fruit? Like ice water, you are jealous in an empty space, and you play jokes on others in vain.

Analysis: The picture of this judgment is a lush orchid, and there is a beautiful woman wearing a rockhopper gown next to it.

Whether it is "Maolan" or "Lan" like a pot of orchids in the end, it refers to Jia Lan, the son of Li Wan, who is the most distinguished among the descendants of the Jia family. On the screen, the word "phoenix crows under the iron" suggests that Li Wan's factor is too expensive, and he was ordered to join the body. The verdict of "Peach, Lee and Spring Breeze bear fruit" not only implies the name of "Li Wan", but also implies that her husband Jia Zhu died after Li Wan gave birth to her son Jia Lan.

The meaning of the last two sentences of the judgment is difficult to determine. Some people think that it uses the poem of Hanshan, a monk in the Tang Dynasty, "If you want to know life and death, it is better than ice water." Water condenses into ice, and the ice disappears and turns back into water ",which means that Li Wan lost his wife in youth, worked hard to raise his children, and his son became a talent and won glory, but his life span was not long, leaving only a false name and becoming the talk of others after dinner.

In A Dream of Red Mansions, the verdict is an implicit summary of the endings of some main characters. Of all the judgments, twelve women have the most judgments. In recent years, the study of judgment has become an important branch of Redology.
