Poems about the War of Liberation

83. Qilu: Recalling the Chongqing Negotiations? 1945

I am the master of land and land, but lawlessness is your people.

There are officials in Chongqing who are all bureaucrats, and there is no shit or gold in Yan'an.

Blowing up bridges and digging roads is for unity, while seizing land and fighting for cities is struggle.

The whole city is filled with mourning and blood, but it is just a thought to save the common people.

Note: This poem was written during the Chongqing negotiations in August 1945. This poem first appeared in Shanghai's "Asian News" on March 13, 1949), 1983 Sheng Xunchang's "Two Poems of Mao Zedong" in the twelfth issue of "Cultural and Educational Materials Bulletin" contains the complete poems

84. Five Rhythms: Zhang Guandaozhong?? April 1947

The morning fog fills the Qiongyu, and the horses neigh and the north wind blows.

It is difficult to catch dew, dampness and dust, and the crows in frost cages will not be frightened.

The military uniform is like iron armor, and the men are like silver ice.

Hesitantly Zhang Guandao, as if walking uphill.

85. Wulu: Good news?? 1947

In the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1947, I was walking on the canal and heard that the Northwest Field Army had recovered Panlongzuo.

The autumn wind blows over the river, and the wild fields enter the sky.

Good orders come with people, and the bright moon rises next to the clouds.

There is no sound from my hometown, but my wife and children cannot communicate with each other.

The sky is full of people looking up, and triumphant songs are playing in the border towns.
