People in the Tang Dynasty liked red peony and purple peony, but Bai Mudan was not taken seriously. Wu Rong, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, wrote these two poems praising Bai Mudan with unique styles. But she does not admire vanity, does not strive for fame and fortune, and is willing to show her face and open her heart in the late spring. The couplet "Nature is white and quiet, why should crimson be reflected in the bridal chamber" means that Bai Mudan is born white and will never chase fashionable red peony to set off luxurious scenes for others. At the same time, Bai Juyi, a famous poet, used Bai Mudan to express his misfortune, saying, "White flowers talk coldly about being unloved, but they occupy the name of peony. It should be Bai Zanshan of the East Palace, known as the official of the court. " In Wu Rong's eyes, Bai Mudan's image is the opposite of that of his predecessor. The beauty of flowers is nothing more than a fragrance and a color. In the poet's view, the color and fragrance of Bai Mudan are extraordinary. Its bright beauty can only be compared with the blue sky and bright moon, and its rich fragrance can only be equally divided with the orchids in the garden, and it is known as a gentleman among flowers. "Rao Baihui grabbed the first move, but he still fell behind in the third spring." Two sentences in the Necklace Union wrote Bai Mudan's humble virtue and the sentiment of sticking to honesty.
