Discourse interpretation of villain's success

An upright man is open and poised while a petty man is anxious and worried. The gentleman is poor, and the villain is poor. The week of gentlemen is incomparable, and the week of villains is incomparable. A gentleman is figurative, and a villain is figurative ... When we open the Confucian classic The Analects, it is not difficult to find that there are many sentences that compare and evaluate gentlemen and villains together, so that later Confucian "masters" often follow a set of evaluation criteria of "having virtue but not virtue" and "being a gentleman and a villain" when criticizing the current disadvantages and evaluating characters.

China people are deeply influenced by Confucianism, and the villain is also the most hated and targeted person among the people. There is a special "sacrifice to the sun" among the people, who collectively repair the villain, that is, on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, eat jiaozi and pinch the "villain's mouth"; This is like a "special struggle" organized by our public security department against a rampant criminal activity, choosing to launch a severe blow to the unified deployment of criminals-"villains" on a certain day; Daily rectification work cannot be abandoned. In order to prevent "committing villains", ordinary people will also paint the image of villains on soles and insoles and step on them from time to time every day. It's called "stepping on a villain" Can villains make a comeback?

Ordinary people will always find and guard against villains everywhere, but the concept opposite to villains is not narcissistic like Confucian scholars, but contrary to the concept of calling themselves "gentlemen." The common people don't like this gentleman and think that he is a bookworm, a group of pedantic, inflexible and unprofitable people ... Compared with the villain in the common people's concept, the concept is "noble". "Meeting a noble person" is a good thing, and "committing a villain" is a bad thing. The biggest difference between ordinary people and Confucian scholars (intellectuals) is that ordinary people are more practical, and villains will harm their own interests, so they are bad, which has little to do with Confucian scholars' simple moral judgment.

The little people were crushed and trampled, but it seems that instead of being extinct, they are getting stronger and stronger. What is even more unacceptable to ordinary people is that little people often mix better, otherwise they always say "little people succeed"! Hey, hey, there is another saying that you sacrificed some principles and did some bad things, but you didn't get the expected return. What's this called? "Be a villain for nothing"! Explain a few problems: first, being a "villain" is easy to "achieve greatness"; Second, being a "villain" is definitely beneficial; Third, everyone can be a "villain" at any time while preventing "villains", as long as the price is right, don't be a "villain" in vain.

In my opinion, the real reason why a villain is easy to succeed is that he doesn't care about being considered a villain. A villain can take advantage, but an honest man can't take advantage, as long as he is not taken advantage of by others. The "real villains" in this world (who don't care that others think they are villains, are not ashamed of being villains, and are basically hooligans, represented by Liu Bang), "real gentlemen" (intellectuals who live in poverty and enjoy happiness, represented by Yan Hui) and "hypocrites" (professors, doctors and prostitutes who are full of benevolence and morality and have been severely criticized in the 2 1 century). Actually, there is another reason. Any successful person is willing to accuse him of being a villain.

PS: Little people are crazy if they succeed (proverb)

My son is a Zhongshan wolf. If he succeeds, he will be crazy. The golden boudoir is full of flowers and willows, and she goes to Huang Liang with one load. -A Dream of Red Mansions

In A Dream of Red Mansions, Sun Shaozu, Yingchun's husband, once threw herself outside the house and begged for help when her family was in trouble. Later, Sun Shaozu went to Beijing to attack officials, and "the Ministry of War lacked promotion" and became a "nouveau riche". "If you succeed, you will be crazy." After Sun Shaozu became proud, he did evil and ran amok. After the downfall of the Jia family, they were ungrateful, forced to pay debts to Jia She, and forced to get married in Yingchun. In less than a year, Miss Jia Jiaer, a "golden couple" like Yingchun, was tortured and died.

The meaning of the last two poems is the same as that of the previous one, which is more a criticism of Sun Shaozu in the tone of welcoming the Spring.
