When I arrive in Luoyang, if any relatives and friends ask about me, please tell them that my heart is still as pure as the ice of a jade pot and has not been defiled by worldly things such as fame and fortune.

This is a farewell poem. On the surface, it is written to say goodbye to friends, but in fact, the author is expressing his inner purity. The first sentence of the poem was written from the autumn rain, which rendered the cold atmosphere of parting.
