The origin of Laojun Mountain
It is said that this Laojun Mountain has an extraordinary history. According to legend, when the fairy Lv Dongbin passed by, she saw the quiet environment here and wanted to stay, so she reached for a stone as a stool and sat here to rest. Since then, the immortal has gone, and the stone bench is still there, starting from Laojun Mountain. No wonder climbing to the top of the mountain makes people feel a little aura.
Since the establishment of Suiyuan County, Da Laojun Mountain has been the boundary mountain between Rong County of Zigong City and Weiyuan County of Neijiang City. This is the place where Zhou Wuwang sealed Zhou Ronggong in the Western Zhou Dynasty, also known as Rongde Mountain. According to legend, Taishang Laojun was an alchemist here, and Chen Tuan, a Taoist priest of the Five Dynasties in the late Tang Dynasty (self-named Fu Yaozi, Mr. Song Taizong), was a Taoist priest here, so it was also called the mountain. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, Laojun Mountain has become a Taoist training ground and scenic spot. Qing Qianlong's Weiyuan County Records called Laojun Danzao, which is one of the eight scenic spots in Weiyuan.
Little Laojun Mountain is about 6 kilometers east of Big Laojun. It is angular and graceful, with a peak of only 50 square meters. The whole mountain is like an eagle spreading its wings. At the foot of the mountain is the estuary reservoir, where the water is clear and the waves are rippling. There is a bowl of thick spring water at the source of the reservoir, which gushes out from the cracks in the stone. This is the famous Longdong spring.
