Who killed Yang Guifei?

Yang Guifei, the favorite concubine of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, is good at dancing with long sleeves, has the beauty of falling in love with the country and can play the pipa. In addition, since she entered the palace, she has never asked about political affairs, and she has never interfered in the affairs of state affairs. She has done her duty as a concubine, so that Tang Xuanzong has always loved her.

But no matter how favored the concubine is, she will fall out of favor in her old age, or she will die one day. In the fifteenth year of Tianbao, when An Lushan launched a rebellion and went into exile with Li Longji in Shu, Yang Guifei died in the mutiny of the Guards. Then the problem is coming. Who is the real murderer who killed Yang Guifei?

Gao Lishi, the real murderer eunuch.

"Zi Tong Zhi Ji Jian Tang" records that Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty was Yang Guozhong, the cousin of Yang Guifei, and he ordered eunuch Gao Lishi to take Yang Guifei to the Buddhist temple to hang himself. This Yang, who became prime minister, took advantage of nepotism. After Yang became prime minister, officials in the Tang Dynasty were seriously corrupt and people complained everywhere. In court, he confronted An Lushan. An Lushan rebelled against Yang and seized the throne.

On the way to escape, the imperial guard was like a lost dog, hungry and thirsty, and he became more and more angry. The imperial generals headed by Chen agreed that the rebellion was entirely caused by Yang. Killing it can quell the Anshi rebellion, and then the crowd surged and Yang was hacked to death on the spot.

After Yang killed, Chen and others, Yu Nu did not disappear. They pointed the finger at Yang Guifei. They think that Yang's corrupt state affairs are related to Yang Guifei, so they demand that Yang Guifei be killed again and eradicated. Tang Xuanzong was forced to witness the tragic death of the imperial concubine, so he asked Gao Lishi, the supervisor, to take her to a nearby Buddhist temple and hang himself under a pear tree.

Guard of the real killer

Du Fu specially wrote a poem "Mourning for the Head" for the death of Yang Guifei: "Where are your bright eyes and white teeth now? A blood-stained elf is homeless and has nowhere to go", suggesting that Yang Guifei was not hanged, because hanging can't see blood. This poem reflects that Yang Guifei was not hanged, but was forced to death by the sword for the disorderly army. However, it does not rule out that when the poet Du Fu wrote poems, he deliberately talked about words for the sake of smooth rhyme.

(Tang Xuanzong)

Of course, the rationality of this statement at that time was not ruled out. After Yang died with the imperial sword, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty immediately said that Yang deserved to die because of his disaster to Chaogang, but Yang Guifei never interfered in the state affairs and wanted to pardon her. But Chen and others continue to be forced into the palace, saying that the imperial concubine is the root of the unrest, and it is difficult to stabilize the morale of the army without killing. At this time, Gao Lishi remonstrated with Xuanzong: "Now the Royal Guards are still in turmoil and the imperial army has stopped. For the sake of the country, they have to do so." So Xuanzong gave Yang a painful way to die, and the killer who laid hands on him was naturally an imperial bodyguard.

Conclusion: As the favorite concubine of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei and her husband lived in peace, which led to the neglect of state affairs. During this period, courtiers who were partial to An Lushan and Yang Zhiliu repeatedly made moves, which made the forces of the two sides expand and become bigger, and finally the contradiction intensified sharply, and the An Lushan Rebellion broke out. This is also a typical example of causal cycle and unpleasant retribution. In fact, the real killer, Gao Lishi or the imperial army, is a fake hand. Strictly speaking, the "real murderer" is actually Yang Guifei herself.

Anyway, it is a fact that Yang Guifei died at the age of 38. At the age of twenty-two, she became the imperial concubine of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and accompanied him for sixteen years. Finally, this peerless beauty exchanged her life for the peace of Tang Xuanzong, and she had to say: Tang Xuanzong's life is really good!
