Liangxi District, the central city of Wuxi, was formally established on February 20, 20 16. It is formed by merging the original Chong 'an, Nanchang and Beitang districts, with an area of 7 1.5 square kilometers.
"Liangxi" has been another name of Wuxi since ancient times, with profound cultural heritage. It is a very precious historical and cultural heritage of Wuxi. After the merger of the original three cities, it was named "Liangxi", which reflected the inheritance and protection of ancient place names and highlighted the status of Liangxi District as the central city of Wuxi.
