Wei's poetic style is

Wei's poetic style is unique, especially in the Dali period.

Wei was the most outstanding poet in the Dali period of Tang Dynasty. As one of the representative poets of the pastoral school, later generations often call Wang Meng Liu Wei. Wei inherited and borrowed the literature of the previous generation, and absorbed the strengths of various schools. His poems are simple, delicate, ingenious and beautiful, with Tao Yuanming's indifference and Xie Lingyun's fresh algae decoration, and finally formed a "sui generis" poetic style, which was loved and respected by later poets.

Over the years, the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty ceased to exist, and the themes were mostly romantic and nostalgic, and the poetic style tended to be light on Wang and Meng. Wu Ying in Wei Dynasty is different from other poems in Dali period, especially five-character poems. He dabbles in all kinds of poetic styles, especially ancient ones.

Evaluation:

First of all, Wei's poetic style characterized by leisure and detachment was praised not only by other poets at that time, but also by later generations, and attracted many poets to learn from him. Bai Juyi said in Jiu Shu Tong Yuan: Servants can't go on expeditions to ancient times. For example, Wei Suzhou, who is almost three years old, is singing and singing, which is quite close to irony.

His five-character poems are elegant and unique, which the author can't grasp today. Wei's pastoral poetry is another excellent work with unique personal color after Tao Yuanming, Wang and Meng. Rong Zhai Essays commented on this poem as follows: Wei was in Chuzhou, drinking with a Taoist in Chuanjiao Mountain and writing poems. Sublime and detached, can't boast, but the last two sentences can be thought of without complex sentences.
