Ukrainian, the language of Ukrainians. It is used by about 45 million people in the world, and there are also a few users in North America, belonging to the Eastern Slavic branch of the Slavic family of Indo-European languages.
Ukrainian is divided into four dialects: Northwest Dialect, Southwest Dialect, Southeast Dialect and Carpathian Dialect. The standard language is based on Kiev dialect in the southeast dialect area, and * * * has 38 phonemes, including 6 vowels and 32 consonants. The syntactic combination of Ukrainian is subject-predicate object.
The oldest document in Ukraine was found in14th century. 14-15th century, based on the written Russian language in Kiev, the standard language was gradually formed by integrating the characteristics of local dialects. Literary works written in colloquial language appeared one after another in the17-18th century, and gained a stable position as a standard language in the early19th century.
The works of levski (1769 ~ 1838) and Shevchenko (1814-1861) laid the foundation of modern Ukrainian. There are three dialects: Northern Dialect, Southwest Dialect and Southeast Dialect. Standard language is formed on the basis of southeast dialect.
