Shakespeare (1564- 16 16) was a great dramatist and poet in the English Renaissance. He wrote 37 plays, 154 sonnets, two long poems and other poems in his life. Had to compete with his brother for the throne. Hamlet's mother died of drinking poisoned wine by mistake. Hamlet and his brother were both poisoned and killed his uncle before they died.
2. Othello (one of Shakespeare's four tragedies)
The work tells the story that Othello, a warrior of Venice, fell in love with Desdemona, the daughter of the patriarch at that time, but was stopped by the patriarch because of the great difference in age and identity. The two married privately. Othello's men, Iago, a seemingly loyal but insidious flag officer, covet Desdemona's beauty and are bent on getting rid of Othello, trying every means to create evidence that Desdemona and others are not proper relationship. In addition, Othello was suspicious and finally strangled his wife in his own wedding bed. Knowing the truth, he regretted committing suicide.
3. King Lear
The work mainly tells that King Lear in ancient England was groggy and helpless, and wanted to share his land with his three daughters according to his love for him. The eldest daughter and the second daughter coaxed King Lear with sweet words, but only the youngest daughter told the truth. King Lear was very angry and married his youngest daughter to another country. Later, after dividing the land equally, King Lear was deported by his two daughters and became a beggar. Lear, holding the body of her little daughter, also died in grief and indignation.
4. Macbeth
General Macbeth, the cousin of King Duncan of Scotland, met three witches when he returned from the king's rebellion. The witch told him that he would be made king and that the descendants of his colleague General Banco would inherit the throne. Macbeth is full of ambition. He murdered Duncan at the instigation of his wife and became king. And killed Duncan's bodyguard step by step, killed Banco, and killed the wife and children of the noble Macduff. Macbeth lives in constant fear, and her heart is more and more tortured and cold. Lady Macbeth died of insanity, and Macbeth was not sad at all. In the case of betrayal, Macbeth faced the siege of Duncan's son and the English reinforcements he invited, and was finally beheaded.
