What does Zhang Zao mean by the poem "As long as I think of the things I regret in my life, plum blossoms will bloom in Nanshan" in "The Edge of Mirror Flowers"?

As long as you remember the things you regret in your life.

Plum blossoms have fallen.

Like watching her swim across the river.

Like climbing a pine ladder.

Dangerous things are beautiful.

Why don't you watch her ride back?

Warm cheeks

Shame. Bow your head and answer the emperor.

A mirror is always waiting for her.

Let her sit in the mirror where she often sits.

Looking out of the window, as long as I think of things I regret in my life.

Plum blossoms fall in the south mountain.

The first time I accidentally saw this poem, I just brushed it off and didn't care. Until late at night, life regrets flooded in, and the sentence "As long as I think of life regrets, plum blossoms fall all over Nanshan" flashed in my mind. Then I looked at it and clapped my hands.

When different readers read a poem, it is a different poem. I will talk about this poem with my personal understanding and feelings. (It only represents personal opinions and has nothing to do with the original expression of the original author. )

A person's life is a life of constant loss and constant regret. Zhang Zao, the author of this poem, once said: "Pain and misfortune are our constant tones, and happiness is a very accidental thing."

The author wrote at the beginning, "As long as I think of things I regret in my life, plum blossoms will fall."

The word "as long as" here is always like this, and it has obviously been thought of more than once. "Plum blossoms have fallen", and plum blossoms have fallen one after another, such as regretting one. Recalling regret is like the falling flower of plum blossom, with a faint gentle sadness.

Regret here does not refer to a specific regret, but refers to it in general. The third and fourth sentences are more realistic. "For example, watch her swim to the other side of the river, such as climbing the ladder."

Why is it "across the river", not across the river, not across the river? In fact, whether it is the other side or the other side, it is paired with this side, and the other side is gone, not relatively irrelevant.

"Climbing the ladder" is a contradictory but beautiful sentence. Note that "a tree" is a quantifier for living tree planting. Is a pine ladder like a ladder or a ladder made of pine? I think she climbed a pine tree like a ladder, but it doesn't matter. The important thing is that she is gone, so I can only stand in situ and watch her swim.

"Don't be sad, don't be sad, be apart, be happy, be happy and know each other." Most people have experienced the departure of their loved ones. For those who leave, it is parting, but for those who leave, it is a new acquaintance.

"Dangerous things are beautiful, but it is better to watch her ride back." This sentence is simply not very good. Li Zhi, a folk singer, said in Summer on the Road to Yin Shan that "heartbeat often brings danger". The most dangerous thing here is falling in love. Although falling in love is very dangerous, I am willing to bear this danger and want her to ride back.

"Cheeks warm, ashamed. Bow your head and answer the emperor ",this is what happened after her return, so the emperor is the author himself. Note that this poem begins with recalling the past, and she is gone. This is the fantasy of "her return". In the description of imagining her return, her cheeks are warm at first, which shows that the author thinks of her beauty and kindness for the first time, and then she is ashamed. Why should she be ashamed? She will be ashamed of betraying and leaving, will regret it, and will admit her mistake. This is the author's fantasy.
