according to the book "History of Song Dynasty Xia Guojuan", at the beginning, the west side of Linzhou was stunned, saying: the red building, overlooking the wild river in the cave. Famous artists such as Wen Yanbo and Fan Zhongyan, prime ministers of the Song Dynasty, also left poems here. It can be seen that the Red Chamber played a role in the hearts of literati and poets at that time, and it may have played a role in watching and monitoring the enemy's situation.
Linzhou Ancient City Site is located on Yangcheng Mountain in the northwest of Yangcheng Village, Dianta Town, Shenmu County. It is a typical military city. It was built in the 12th year of Tang Kaiyuan (AD 724) and abandoned in the 8th year of Ming Zhengtong (AD 1443). Yang Hongxin, the secretariat of Linzhou in the Five Dynasties, and his eldest sons, Yang Zhongxun and Sun Yangguang, defended Linzhou and refused the invasion of Qidan in the north. Yang Ye, the second son, and Yanzhao, his Sun Yang, were both famous in the Song Dynasty. According to Zi Zhi Tong Jian and other historical materials, Yang Ye was a native of Xinqin (now Shenmu County) in Linzhou, a famous star in the Northern Han Dynasty and the Northern Song Dynasty, and was known as "Invincible Yang". With reverence for the heroes who defended the frontier, the world changed the ancient city of Linzhou to Yangjiacheng.
"The city is built according to the mountain, with an irregular strip distribution, the longest from east to west is 1.4 kilometers, the widest from north to south is .8 kilometers, the area is about 1.12 square kilometers, and the circumference of the city is about 5.4 kilometers. The outline of the city wall is clear, and it is composed of three parts, namely Dongcheng, Xicheng and Zijincheng, forming three small towns which are interrelated and relatively independent. In addition to the built city walls, most of the city sites face cliffs and gullies with a depth of 1-2 meters, and there are caves and wild rivers. The defensive measures are extremely strict, which can be described as easy to defend but difficult to attack.
Archaeologists say that if people want to enter Zijincheng, judging from the three entrances found so far, except for one entrance, which is not clear, the other two have urn cities. One of the entrances must first pass through the urn in Dongcheng. After entering through a door, there are soldiers on the urn, and there is a horse face on the wall ("horse face" is an attached pier protruding outward from the wall, because it is slender, like a horse's face. ) You can see the every move of the people who enter the city. After entering the urn, you can enter the next urn through another door, and then you can enter Zijin City. It can be said that there is a city in the city and a city is set up. The soldiers will find out if anyone who enters the city makes a slight change.
in the three cities, you can enter each other through the city gates, and the troops and people gather in them. The three cities are independent and interrelated, and what kind of relationship they have is still unknown. At present, archaeologists have found 35 architectural sites in Xicheng, 11 in Dongcheng and 9 in Zijincheng. Because Dongcheng is close to the burial area, experts speculate that it may be a residential area for the people.
In 25, archaeologists in Yulin City excavated a site in Xiguan, Xicheng, which was suspected to be the Secretariat of History. It is still uncertain whether Xicheng was the residence of Yang Hongxin and other Yang families at that time.
Archaeologists found two burial areas not far from the northeast of the city site, and 48 tombs were preliminarily explored, which may be the tombs of Yangjiacheng personnel. Jian Xiao said that although the city site has been verified as Yangjiacheng, they are still very much looking forward to finding the inscriptions about the Yangjia people during the excavation of tombs. However, whether the tombs can be excavated for rescue has been reported to National Cultural Heritage Administration for approval.
Jian Xiao said that the "Red Mansion" can be compared with Yueyang Tower. In this excavation, the first rammed wall in the middle of Zijincheng was the best preserved, with a maximum remnant of more than 2 meters. People speculated that it was the Red Mansion, but so far no relevant evidence has been found.
