The position of missile technology preparation. It is used to complete the inspection, assembly and testing of missiles, and prepare for transportation to the launch location. Because of the different types and uses of missiles, the engineering construction and simplification of positions are also different. There are two kinds of underground technical posts and ground technical posts. Land-based fixed-launch strategic missiles mostly use underground technical positions, which are usually composed of missile storage room, assembly test room, ground equipment storage room and engineering support facilities, equipped with a full set of special technical equipment. Tactical missiles and mobile-launched strategic missiles used in campaigns usually use pre-built or temporary ground technical positions, which are generally relatively simple. When some missiles don't have special technical positions, they are replaced by their own storage. There needs to be a certain distance between the technical bit and the transmitting bit to ensure safety.
Missile launching position
Where missiles are prepared and launched. Due to the different types and launching methods of missiles, the size and composition of positions are also different. There are three kinds of ground launch positions, underground launch positions and semi-underground launch positions. Tactical missiles and strategic missiles with mobile launch mode mostly use pre-built or temporary ground launch positions, which usually consist of launch pads and related facilities, and the missile system is transported to the positions for launch in wartime. Fixed-launch strategic missiles mostly use underground well launching positions, which are composed of vertical shafts, launch control rooms, engineering facilities and special technical equipment. Missiles are usually set up in wells and fired from wells or wellhead in wartime. Shore-to-ship missiles, anti-ballistic missiles, some surface-to-air missiles and surface-to-surface missiles also use semi-underground launching positions such as tunnels and bunkers. According to different missiles and combat tasks, missile launching positions should be deployed in depth according to campaigns, tactics or strategies, requiring evacuation and concealment, facilitating maneuvering, avoiding important targets, and adopting strict camouflage measures.
