Jinshan and Jiaoshan are both in the Yangtze River between Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. After visiting Jinshan, we headed to Jiaoshan the next day. Jiaoshan is located downstream of Jinshan, and the distance between the two mountains is fifteen miles. The boat was sailing against the wind that day, and the boatman took advantage of the wind and raised the sail, zigzagging downstream. The distance was six or seven times longer than the straight road, and finally arrived at the foot of Jiao Mountain. There is a Guanhou Temple halfway up the mountain, which was built to commemorate Guan Yu, the general of Shu in the Three Kingdoms. After dinner, go up the mountain and turn left, then climb to the Jiachu Pavilion. It was the season when the pomegranate flowers were in full bloom, and the accompanying child casually broke off a branch. Seeing the frequent boats coming and going in the river at the foot of the mountain and the turbulent waves, the monks in Jiaoshan Temple said: "Those who fish for shad can sell a pound of shad for eighteen copper coins. When you buy it and put it in the pot, the fish are still jumping around." Stop, it's very fresh." Turn right and continue walking up the mountain, and you will reach Suijiang Pavilion. Suijiang Pavilion is facing Jinshan. It feels like Jiaoshan is much higher and bigger than Jinshan. Jinshan Mountain is so steep that it can easily become a ferry crossing for the Yangtze River transportation artery, and it is also a prosperous place where ships come and go. There are large fields in Jiaoshan where rice and wheat can be grown, and there are also many strange peaks and rocks on the mountain, which look like beasts crawling in the grass. The grass and trees hang down like beautiful women wearing gauze, so the scenery of Jiaoshan has been very quiet since ancient times. Therefore, Jinshan and Jiaoshan were called brother mountains, and wine was poured out to commemorate Jinshan Liuyunting. Not long after, someone bought anchovies. They saw that the anchovies were really fresh, and the gills were still opening and closing from time to time, so they cooked the fish and ate it with wine, overlooking the Yangtze River, facing the stone wall of the Yangtze River, but there was no trace of it. The charm of Jinshan Corridor cannot be diminished. It wasn't until sunset and it started raining again that we took the boat back. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, a man named Jiao Guang lived in seclusion here. The emperor issued three edicts, but he refused to go back, so the mountain was named Jiao Mountain after him. Later, during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Yang Jisheng wrote the word "Jiaoshan" on the stone wall. Jiaoshan is Yang's name. Since Jiao and Jiao have the same pronunciation, it obviously also reflects the author's pride. Little did they know that Yang Jisheng was eventually imprisoned and killed for impeaching Yan Song. Talking about the past and the present, Jiao Shan flaunts the reputation of "Jiao Guang" and "Yang Jisheng" as loyal ministers, and at the same time gives Jiao Shan the status of a loyal minister and a scholar. Chen Tongfu, who traveled with me, said, "Jiaoshan is also called Jiaoshan."
