The artistic features of Yuefu poetry and its influence on later poetry.

Yuefu poems in Han dynasty are all realistic works, which are "influenced by sadness and joy and stem from something". These folk songs are not only rich in social content, but also ideological. They widely reflect the painful life of the people in the Han Dynasty and profoundly reflect the thoughts and feelings of the people in the Han Dynasty. Han Yuefu folk songs also have high artistic achievements. They are meticulous and vivid in narrative description, good at grasping typical details to express scenes and characters' thoughts, and good at describing the tone and expression of characters, with outstanding stories. The freedom of form and sentence pattern is mainly five words. The language is concise, vivid, colloquial, expressive and full of life. Yuefu folk songs have a far-reaching influence on the development of later poetry, such as Jian 'an and Cao Cao's ancient Yuefu, Du Fu's new Yuefu and Bai Juyi's new Yuefu movement, all of which were influenced by Han Yuefu. In addition, Han Yuefu is a transitional stage from four-character Sao style to five-character seven-character style in pre-Qin. The mature five-character style of Han Yuefu greatly promoted the literati's poetry creation and made formal preparations for the prosperity of Jian 'an poetry.
