Gender and disability, farm work and marriage make her extremely sensitive to the existence of her body. Her poems are full of touch, and occasionally she fills them in with vision. Even the title of the poetry collection "Moonlight on the Left Hand" is trying to touch it.
Almost every poem carries a sense of body, such as "bitten by autumn", "getting smaller and lighter at the thought of you", "beating your body thinner and thinner" and "your name is bleeding from my bite" ... The boat with a leaky bottom is the most written dialogue between her and her body, which connects the sense of body with the language of the poem linearly. "The woodiness of past lives and the wateriness of this life" is so smooth and shocking. She is the leaf boat, fluttering in the redemption of poetry, and her body is struggling in the rickety world.
She writes about beauty:
"I am alive, fetching water and cooking every day, taking medicine on time/I put myself in when the sun is fine, like putting a piece of dried tangerine peel/tea to drink alternately: chrysanthemum, jasmine, rose and lemon/these beautiful things seem to take me to the road in spring/so I hold back the snow inside again and again/they are too white and too close to spring"
She writes. Even if I yearn for it, I dare not touch it or get close to it. I hold down the inner snow again and again. She is like living in a continuous rainy day, depressed and heavy, even if it clears up occasionally, she dare not be greedy.
She writes about sadness:
"When my heart is full of sadness, I eat with a big mouth/this kind of ostentation is only known by the wind"
This poem gives me the feeling that I am alone and walking with my head held high. No one understands her, and when she is sad, she eats heavily. Only she can satisfy herself and comfort herself. What is she showing off? Show off that you are satisfied with eating well, but at the same time, you eat big because of sadness. But no one listened to her, accompanied her or asked her what was wrong, only the wind.
She wrote about love:
"I love this earthly encounter/the repeated vulgar and heavy spring/the determination to bear everything and be shattered/... You are destined to meet me, be fascinated by the fire on the shore/free up a palm/catch the ashes of Mars/and I will fall into one of thousands of people singing for you" < p The fluttering in Dream of Snow, and patiently hold it down; In "Untitled", the comforting love is written with no bad feelings and you have to doze off; There is also the most emotional "Beautiful Things", which is the pure love that understands the world and cares about itself. If this kind of love only belongs to girls or women. Then I can only be a girl or a woman. The aesthetic feeling of love and fear cannot be conquered by male power.
I believe that poetry is her protective cover and brings her spiritual strength. I also believe that for her physically disabled, poetry is an outlet for her to feel the world and express her inner world. For her, poetry is a perception of the world.
