Meng Haoran (689-740), born in Xiangyang, Xiangzhou (now Xiangfan, Hubei), was a famous landscape poet in the Tang Dynasty. His poems are as famous as Wang Wei and are called "Wang Meng".
In the 18th year of Kaiyuan (730), Meng Haoran wandered in wuyue at the invitation of Jinshi. He walked along the Cao 'e River and the Shan 'xi River, and then changed Ma Lu to Tiantai.

Tiantai Mountain people have not forgotten this poet who is famous with you and whose poems and songs in Qing Dynasty can be handed down from generation to generation, and specially named the place where Meng Haoran stopped to sing Hu Meng and Meng Huling as Tiantai Mountain.
