Acacia bird is small, with a green crown on its head, a red mouth, yellow throat and feet, and a layer of bright orange hair on its chest. The reddest mouth seems to have blood beads oozing out in the chirping sound, which makes the speech more poetic. It is also the name "acacia" that makes it mysterious and beautiful.
I remember picking up acacia under the red bean tree during my southern tour. It is round and flat, red and dark brown. I cherish it to comfort a melancholy and soul-destroying thought. And this little bird named Acacia is the singing of an Acacia soul. Its voice, its color, its expression, when both of them are alive, contrast the meaning of lovesickness.
It should be said that this won the children extraordinary joy for love birds. They had a tacit dialogue with the guests from the forest with admiration and admiration of childlike innocence. Children are still getting to know nature. Are the birds getting to know the city and the children in it? Because of strangeness, it is novel. Because of alienation, we need to be close. For children, the lovesickness bird is no less than a letter from the forest at the southern foot of Qinling Mountain far from the city.
At dusk, let the birds walk out of the room and wander in the space beside the balcony? Who knows, just hanging the cage on the rope in the air, a bird fluttered out of the cage and flapped its wings and flew away. In the house, they chase and play in the cage, and they are very safe because of the limitation of visual angle. Perhaps it was the temptation of the prospect outside the balcony that made them uneasy about the cage and collided with each other, and one of them was free.
So closed closed, really became a pair of lovebirds. One in the cage was very anxious, and the other outside the cage refused to leave, calling each other earnestly, which made people feel pity. Let it fly, but I don't want to. Grab the other one. It's impossible. Just listening to the crying songs between them, one after another, ups and downs, until the dead of night.
The next morning, they sang to each other again. The cry disappeared, leaving only an empty birdcage swinging on the rope. Did the bird's language teach the bird how to escape? The cage is good. This lovebird is really the spirit of love. Has it come and gone without a trace? Or old bird people tied this delicate bird with a thrush cage so that they could escape. The cage swings in the empty space. It is lonely.
The children are very sad about it. How can they live in this strange city without cages? What to eat? Where do you live? Will other birds tolerate them flying in this sky? It is said that love birds couldn't keep alive, but fortunately they all flew away. Living is harder, but more enjoyable. I hope they will never meet again and return to the cage, no, separation, and no longer contain the meaning of acacia in their songs.
I told the children that birds are very discerning and will fly back to their own big forest along the way they came. I know, carrier pigeons are like this. Can love birds do the same? But I don't have this knowledge. The reason for saying this is to comfort children and comfort themselves. Unexpectedly, the children saw love birds flying among the trees outside the balcony, and occasionally came to the cage to ask for food and water, which denied my words. I think freedom is often poor.
Even so, the bird is not reluctant to leave the cage. The happiness in memory has turned into sadness, and the sadness in memory is still sadness. What this pair of love birds found by the cage was not dessert. Later, the children and I saw this pair of love birds in the yard again. They feed among flowers and dance among trees, which is much more beautiful than what they see in cages. You can only see sparrows at ordinary times, but suddenly love birds flew here, adding a lot of poetry to the courtyard.
Since then, I have never seen the trace of love birds. They must miss their hometown very much and fly back to the beautiful forest at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains.
