Olympic Essay: My Five Rings Dream

When I wrote this topic, I felt a little guilty: Is it a bit too ostentatious? The Five Rings Dream seems to belong to Liu Xiang alone. They watered the sports flowers of the Chinese nation with sweat. They are the pride of the motherland! However, I am always unwilling: why can't I have my own five-ring dream? Maybe my dream is insignificant, maybe my dream is not worth mentioning, but I once had it, and I have no regrets.

Yu wrote in the Millennium Sigh: "Olympia is an eternal world coordinate." This "eternal world coordinate" is the birthplace of the Olympic movement. The Olympic Charter clearly stipulates the Olympic spirit with mutual understanding, friendship, unity and fair competition as its core. Despite the twists and turns along the way of the Olympic movement, the basic spirit has been passed on; It is this spirit that makes the Olympic Games a carnival for all mankind. Here, politics, race, values, all things that may cause estrangement and differences have been temporarily forgotten. Because of the teacher's words, I was deeply moved by the Olympic Games.

I still clearly remember the night of July 20065438 13. When IOC President Samaranch blurted out "Beijing", my heart boiled! "China won! China won! " I cheered again and again, together with Chinese people all over the world on TV screens. It is indeed an unspeakable excitement, and any written description is quite pale at this time. Since then, I have been paying attention to the latest progress of the Beijing Olympic Games. An idea began to sprout in my heart: I must go to Beijing in the future for the Olympic Games!

Four years later in July, the summer in my hometown is still hot and dry. The day of volunteering for the college entrance examination has just arrived, and I have ushered in the first turning point in my life. At this time, I remembered the wish that sprouted four years ago: to go to Beijing! My parents don't want me to be too far away from home, and they are firmly opposed to my idea. The farthest bottom line they gave me was Shanghai, an international city only six hours' drive from my hometown. Shanghai is really nice and one of my favorite cities, but what about my Olympic dream? I asked myself. I have been a good boy since I was a child. I chose "Rebellion" at the last minute, and I decided to enroll in China Agricultural University, a national key university in Beijing. My parents had to choose "compromise" in the face of a fait accompli, and I finally set foot on the train going north.

On the first day of college registration, Agricultural University, the unpretentious "first institution of agriculture", gave me a big surprise: the wrestling competition of the 2008 Olympic Games will be held here! Doesn't this mean that I can have a better "close contact" with the Olympics? Every time I pass by the wrestling hall under construction on campus, a sense of pride always arises. Even every time President Chen mentions the Olympic Stadium of Agricultural University, it is always difficult to hide his inner excitement between words; He always reminds agricultural university students: "You are happy!" Yes, there is such an opportunity to feel the Olympics at close range and get in touch with the Olympics. How can I not feel happy?

Now my biggest dream is to be an Olympic volunteer, so that I can do something more practical for the Olympics and do my part. In March this year, I officially registered online. In order to better serve the Olympic Games in the future, I study English harder, take an active part in etiquette, medical care and other related training, and pay attention to improving my overall quality. As one of the "Good Luck Beijing" series activities, the World Wrestling Championship held in August this year in Agricultural University will be a comprehensive and important "assessment" for the people of Agricultural University. All the students in our agricultural university are welcoming the arrival of the 2008 Olympic Games with a positive attitude and full enthusiasm.

On April 25th, 2007, the playground of China Agricultural University was crowded with people. They scrambled to record an eternal moment, and the No.3 boys' apartment formed a huge "2008CAU" and the Olympic emblem pattern in the form of lights. And I, in the crowd at that time, silently blessed the Olympics.

May the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games write the most wonderful page in Olympic history! This is my five-ring dream-the five-ring dream of an ordinary student.
