Representative writers of American modernist literature

(edwin arlington robinson, 1869~ 1935)

The poetic novel Captain Craig; His collection of poems, The Town at the Lower Reaches of the River (1909) and The Man Against the Heaven (19 16), established his position in the poetry circle. Robinson wrote a trilogy of narrative poems based on the legend of King Arthur in the Middle Ages: Merlin (19 17), Lancelot (1920) and Tristram (1927). Pound
