My hometown, Chaoyang, is a good place with a long history, beautiful scenery, rich products and outstanding people.
Chaoyang is an ancient city with a long history. Historically, the former Yan, later Yan and northern Yan all established their capitals here, so it is known as the "ancient capital of the three Yans". There are countless places of interest in Chaoyang City, among which the North and South Twin Towers standing in the city are the most famous, especially the North Tower, which is a rare treasure. It was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, more than 1,500 years ago. With its unique feature of "five generations living under one roof", it is known as "the best tower in the world". The discovery of Niuheliang Hongshan Culture has advanced the history of Chinese civilization for more than a thousand years and can be called a treasure of world culture. The unearthed fossils of "Chinese Dragon Bird" and "Liaoning Ancient Fruit" eloquently prove that the morning sun is the place where the first bird takes off and the first flower blooms.
The unique natural scenery of Chaoyang constitutes its unique beautiful scenery. The towering Phoenix Mountain is only five miles away from the city. The mountain has towering ancient trees, jagged rocks, and ancient pagodas and temples hidden in the shadow of the trees. It is a famous Buddhist mountain and tourist attraction. The meandering Daling River passes through the city. Three rubber dams built in recent years have retained her endless footsteps, forming an artificial lake 500 meters wide and five kilometers long in the urban area. Every spring, summer and autumn, the lake surface is sparkling, waterbirds are in swarms, fish are swimming on the bottom, and cruise ships are competing for the current, just like a beautiful landscape painting. Both sides of the lake have also been managed to create shaded trees, lawns, blooming flowers, and various scenic spots, making it even more refreshing. In Chaoyang City, the criss-crossing roads are wide and flat, and the streets are busy with cars and people. The high-rise buildings rising from the ground on both sides of the street are row upon row and have different shapes, and they are becoming more and more metropolitan. Whenever night falls, the street lights in the streets and alleys shine brightly, illuminating the ancient city as if it were daytime. The neon lights in front of the merchants magically change into various patterns and colors, decorating the entire city beautifully and wonderfully.
Chaoyang is also a place with abundant resources and outstanding people. Chaoyang’s fossils amaze the world; Chaoyang’s millet is famous throughout the country; Chaoyang’s jujubes, apples, white pears and other fruits are famous all over the world. Anti-Japanese hero Zhao Shangzhi, Mongolian writers Yin Zhannaxi and Malaqinfu, wrestling champion Li Zhongyun and other heroes and celebrities were all born in Chaoyang.
Historically, Dragon City was once the political, economic, and cultural center of Northeast China. Today, Chaoyang is a bright pearl embedded in the land of western Liaoning! I am proud of the prosperity and beauty of my hometown, and even more proud of its take-off and rise!
