The Book of Songs is the earliest collection of poems in China, which reflects the social life of slaves for more than 500 years from the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty (BC 1 1 century) to the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period (6th century BC). From the Western Zhou Dynasty to the mid-Spring and Autumn Period (the language used in the Book of Songs), people's activities range from Shaanxi, eastern Gansu, Shanxi (all), eastern Sichuan, northern Hubei, Henan (all), northwestern Anhui and southwestern Shandong.
